Meet John

My roots are deeply etched in Austin, and I have grown together with this once relatively small, yet innovative Texas town. My family relocated to Northwest Austin in 1981 from the Mid West. The Pennybacker Bridge (360 Bridge) over Lake Austin was not yet complete and Circle C was still a ranch. There was no upper / lower deck of 183 and Airport Blvd actually took you to the Robert Mueller Airport, past Airport Haven Burgers and the once thriving Highland Mall.

Shortly after arriving, my family’s real estate history began to take shape. Over the years my parents would rank among the top-producing Realtors in town. In 2002, I joined a large local real estate firm to develop my own identity within the community. Since then I have assisted a range of clients all over Austin and personally experienced many sides of the real estate transaction as buyer, seller and investor. I joined forces as a founding member of Juice Homes because of shared core values — a true desire to help people buy or sell their homes and to maintain client relationships that develop beyond real estate transactions.

I am a Brentwood resident since 2002, and today my family resides in a home we purchased from the original Brentwood owners and then rehabbed to accommodate our growing family. While maintaining much of the exterior aesthetics, the home was expanded and taken to the studs replacing wiring, plumbing and improving energy efficiencies. For us it was important to maintain the 1950’s characteristics and vibe.

The surrounding Midtown area NOBU (North Burnet) as some call it is our family’s wheelhouse. The local parks, restaurants and coffee shops (see John’s Picks) is where we live, work and play. I’ve sat on the Brentwood Steering Committee and help promote the annual Violet Crown Festival put on by Violet Crown Community Works each year.

As our community evolves with the Austin growth, we enjoy the simple pleasures where neighbors walk the streets, extend a friendly smile and work together. I feel fortunate to call the Brentwood / Crestview neighborhood home and welcome the opportunity to assist those who might be looking to purchase or need to sell for the next chapter in life.
